Rygel XVI ruled the Hynerian Empire until his cousin stole the throne while he slept. He spent the next hundred and thirty years as a Peacekeeper prisoner, which did nothing to shrink his opinion of himself, and escaped aboard Moya with the rest of the fugitives on day one.
